Welcome back to school! we hope you enjoyed a sunny Easter break and that your children are looking forward to another fabulous half term of learning.
This half term is a short one (only 5 weeks) and the Year 6 pupils have their SATs tests during the week beginning May 12th. Both year groups have camps to look forward to as well as more exciting learning opportunities in and out of the classroom.
Our topic for Summer Term 1 is 'Black History - Pioneers and Stories' where children will learn about the various figures in history of black origin and how they have risen beyond discrimination to achieve great things. We have some exciting art work linked to this as well as our science unit on electricity and a new text in English that really gets the spine tingling.
Below you will see the medium term plan of all subjects so that you can keep up to date with your child's learning up until the next half term break.
As always, please continue to support your child with plenty of reading, spelling and times tables practise, and of course some revision for the Year 6 pupils!
