For further information about local holiday activities, things to do such as clubs, groups, sports and play, or services that can offer support and information, telephone the Family Information Service on 0800 587 8191 or click on the link below.

EDUCATIONAL VISITS

The children regularly take part in off site educational visits or are involved in special activities organised to take place on site. In orderfor these to take place parents may be invited to make a voluntary contribution. However, if the number of parents unable or unwilling to contribute renders the activity unviable, it will be cancelled.

Where the activity necessitates payment for board and lodging, e.g. school camp, the full charge will be made. If parents are in receipt of Income Support or Family Credit, the board and lodgings charges may be remitted. A full copy of our Charging and Remissions Policy is available on our Policies page, or at the link below, for inspection and discussion at the school.
RESIDENTIAL CAMPS

Children in Years 3 to 6 have the opportunity to take part in residential visits. These visits enable children to take part in outdoor activities which cover many aspects of the curriculum including, for example, adventure sports, environmental studies, problem solving, creative writing, personal and social education and collaborative work.

The camps take place during term-time and are linked to the National Curriculum, so there is no charge for the educational content. There is, however, a charge for board and lodging, insurance and specialist instruction for certain activities. All specialist activities are undertaken with qualified instructors.

The children are provided with the opportunity to experience a range of outdoor activities. It also enables children to spend time with each other over a 3 day period, living together is a safe and comfortable environment.
